Diya and Candle Making Competition at Aryabhatta International School, Cheema ✨
To celebrate the spirit of the upcoming Diwali festival, Aryabhatta International School, Cheema organized a Diya and Candle Making Competition for the students. The event aimed to combine creativity with culture, allowing students to express their artistic skills while learning the true meaning of this festival of lights.
Students participated with great enthusiasm and excitement. They beautifully decorated diyas and candles using glitter, sparkles, colours, mirrors, beads, and other decorative materials. Each diya reflected their imagination and festive joy, filling the school atmosphere with colour, light, and happiness.
Through this engaging activity, students also learned about the importance and values of the Diwali festival. Teachers explained that lighting diyas and candles signifies the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. They also shared with students why Diwali is called the Festival of Lights and how it inspires us to spread positivity, peace, and love.
The students thoroughly enjoyed the activity as it helped them connect with India’s cultural heritage in a joyful and creative way. This competition not only enhanced their artistic abilities but also encouraged teamwork, imagination, and festive spirit among them.
On this special occasion, Principal Mr. Shashikant Mishra and Coordinator Ms. Manpreet Chawla graced the event with their presence. They observed the students’ work keenly and appreciated their creativity and dedication.
