At Aryabhatta International School, Barnala, a group of students from grade nine: CharanKamal, Tanveer Kaur, Abhijot Singh and Chahakpreet Kaur presented a beautiful presentation based on one of their important topic, freedom struggle "Quit India Movement" under the guidance of their S.S.T teacher Mr.Bikramjeet Singh. The objective of this presentation was to make students aware of India's freedom struggle, develop an understanding of historical events, and to encourage patriotism, leadership, and expression skills among them.
The presentation began with a brief historical background, which was briefly explained by the students that this movement started on August 8, 1942, under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi from Gowalia Tank Maidan in Mumbai, where the spirited slogan "Do or Die" was given. After that, through group discussions, students presented various aspects of the movement such as - key leaders, the role of women, the reaction of British rule, and the effects of the movement. Students also showed how this movement succeeded in igniting the flame of freedom in the minds of the countrymen.
School principal appreciated the students' presentation saying that such activities not only connect students with history but also develop a sense of responsibility and national spirit in them. Thus, this activity is not only an educational effort but also an inspiring experience, which gave students the opportunity to connect with their glorious past.
