WORLD CANCER DAY

Aryabhatta International School organized a special activity on World Cancer Day. Under the guidance of Biology teacher Mrs. Sukhdeep Kaur, 11th-grade science students Jashanpreet Kaur and  Jasmeet presented a detailed PPT on lung cancer, covering its symptoms, causes, prevention, and treatment.

The presentation highlighted that lung cancer is primarily caused by smoking, environmental pollution, and exposure to smoke-filled areas. Symptoms include persistent coughing, breathing difficulties, and unexplained weight loss. Early detection through CT scans, X-rays, and other diagnostic tools is crucial. Treatment options include surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy.

The students emphasized the importance of supporting loved ones diagnosed with cancer, providing them with proper nutrition, and seeking treatment from reputable hospitals. The activity aimed to raise awareness among students so they could educate their families and communities about lung cancer.

School Principal Mr. Shashikant Mishra praised the initiative, hoping it would instill a sense of responsibility toward health and society among students. He believed such efforts would contribute to building a better and healthier community.
