An activity related to extracting DNA from plants was conducted. Aryabhatta International School has always emphasized learning through activities and experiments. Under the guidance of biology teacher Sukhdeep Kaur, Class 12 students Dalveer and Jaspreet Kaur demonstrated the process of extracting DNA using a plant. In this activity, students used various chemicals and techniques to extract DNA from plant leaves. They employed techniques like centrifugation and precipitation to separate and purify the DNA. During the activity, students also explained that this experiment can be performed using household items. Principal Shashikant Mishra stated that such activities help students understand fundamental concepts of biology. DNA extraction is an essential technique in biology, and we hope our students will grasp it well.
