πΊπ΅ Recognition of Shapes Activity | Nursery Class π΄⭐
At Aryabhatta International School, Barnala, we believe that the foundation of learning is built through engaging, hands-on experiences that make education enjoyable and meaningful. Keeping this vision in mind, a fun-filled “Recognition of Shapes” activity was organized for the students of Nursery Class under the inspiring leadership of our esteemed Management and Principal, Mrs. Mansi Singhal, and the dedicated guidance of our Coordinator, Mrs. Manpreet Chawla.
The activity was creatively planned and conducted by the class teachers Mrs. Amandeep Kaur, Mrs. Sunita Rani, and Ms. Vandana, who ensured that every child actively participated with great enthusiasm and excitement. During the activity, colourful geometric shapes such as circles, triangles, squares, and stars were placed on the floor. The little learners were encouraged to identify the shapes correctly and stand inside the one called out by their teachers.
The activity aimed to develop children’s shape recognition skills, visual discrimination, observation, and cognitive abilities while making learning interactive and enjoyable. As students explored different shapes, they enhanced their understanding of basic geometry in a playful manner. The activity also helped improve listening skills, concentration, gross motor skills, confidence, and the ability to follow instructions.
The Nursery students participated with bright smiles and great excitement, eagerly identifying each shape and completing the task successfully. Their enthusiasm reflected the joy of learning through movement and play. Such activity-based learning experiences encourage children to think, observe, and respond confidently while strengthening their foundational concepts.
At Aryabhatta International School, we are committed to providing holistic education through innovative teaching methods that nurture every child’s intellectual, physical, emotional, and social development. Activities like Recognition of Shapes not only reinforce classroom learning but also inspire curiosity, creativity, and independent thinking among our young learners.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our respected Principal, Mrs. Mansi Singhal, and Coordinator, Mrs. Manpreet Chawla, for their continuous motivation and support in promoting experiential learning. We also appreciate the dedicated efforts of Mrs. Amandeep Kaur, Mrs. Sunita Rani, and Ms. Vandana for making this educational activity a memorable and enriching experience for every Nursery child.
